Our journey began in 2017 after three months of dedicated recipe trials and testing in a small room. With just 6 burgers and 6 wraps, we started our humble beginnings in a food van, determined to bring the authentic flavors of India to the streets.

"It is a great addition for vegetarian/Jain crowd in Calgary. Has a nice little variety of everything - burgers, pizza, pasta, wraps, bowls. Portions were small but the flavours were really good. I would recommend going for a snack when craving Indian street food and not for meal as food gets quite heavy with butter, cream and cheese. Service was quick and friendly. Went on a weekend for dinner and it wasn't super busy."

"Balista bistro is one of the few places that offers pure jain food . The service was quick and the food was flavourful and delicious. We ordered jain Dal Makkhni which I don’t believe you get anywhere else in Calgary. The tandoori momos were outstanding and so were the pasta. The owner and staff were very accommodating to our dietary restrictions and made our experience of dining at balista delightful. Highly recommended everyone to try this place !

"This is my 3rd visit to this amazing place and this place never disappoints. Tried the pesto panini and it was heavenly. Fresh pesto , mild spices and amazing blend of flavors. The cheese burst burger is a must try . Enjoy your meal with some peri Peri fries and finish with the delicious jamun shots ❤️. Highly recommended!"
